Mr. Mutiu Afolabi Kalejaiye, the Special Adviser on Youths Affairs to the Executive Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Mayor Dele Oshinowo, has lauded his boss’s efforts in providing low-cost housing for the residents of the area, addressing critical housing deficits within the council.
During a media interaction with a correspondent from Kosofe Post at his residence, Kalejaiye commended Mayor Dele Oshinowo for his comprehensive approach to governance, touching upon various sectors including health, works, education, and most notably, housing.
“In my capacity as the Special Adviser on Youths Affairs, I can confidently attest to the fact that Mayor Dele Oshinowo has left no sector untouched,” stated Kalejaiye. “However, his most remarkable achievement lies in the provision of low-cost housing for our people, effectively bridging the housing deficit gap within our council.”
Highlighting the significance of Mayor Oshinowo’s housing initiative, Kalejaiye emphasized its positive impact on the community and the commendations received from both residents and government officials.
“Mayor Oshinowo’s housing initiative has garnered widespread acclaim, even drawing praise from Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu during his visit to commission the 106 housing units in Ajerogun,” Kalejaiye revealed. “The governor commended Mayor Oshinowo for setting a precedent in affordable housing provision, urging other local government chairmen to emulate his example.”
Furthermore, Kalejaiye emphasized Mayor Oshinowo’s ongoing commitment to service delivery, acknowledging the chairman’s efforts in laying a solid foundation for future administrations to build upon.
“Mayor Oshinowo’s tenure has been characterized by remarkable achievements, including the provision of industrial boreholes, transformers, and the construction of a mini-stadium in Agboyi town, a first-of-its-kind project within the LCDA,” Kalejaiye added. “His dedication to improving the lives of our people is evident, and we must collectively appreciate his efforts to ensure continued progress and development.”
Kalejaiye pledged his support to Mayor Oshinowo’s administration and expressed optimism for the council’s future under his leadership.
