In a concerted effort to alleviate the plight of vulnerable residents, Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) under the leadership of Mayor Dele Oshinowo has initiated another round of social intervention programs.
The intervention initiative entails the distribution of food packages across twelve designated centers, with each recipient set to receive a 10kg bag of either rice, beans, or garri.
Hon. Seyi Ikuejuyone, the Supervisor of Agriculture, Social Services, and Community Affairs, emphasized that the exercise aims to bring smiles to the faces of residents, particularly the elderly, widows, and individuals with special needs.
Supervising the distribution process across the centers, Mrs. Folake Kayode, the second citizen of the LCDA, reiterated that the program reflects the administration’s commitment to ensuring the well-being of every resident. She emphasized the LCDA’s ongoing efforts to introduce transformative programs aimed at enhancing the welfare and livelihoods of its residents.
“The current administration in Agboyi-Ketu LCDA epitomizes good governance in all aspects. Mayor Dele Oshinowo’s commendable initiatives have placed our beloved LCDA on the map of progress, and it is imperative to sustain this positive trajectory,” Mrs. Kayode affirmed.
While the current food distribution exercise is expected to benefit 6,000 households, Mrs. Kayode assured residents that similar interventions will be conducted regularly to address the ongoing challenges facing the community.
Residents across the twelve centers expressed their appreciation for Mayor Dele Oshinowo’s innovative approach in advancing the LCDA’s development agenda. They commended the council boss for his proactive measures aimed at improving the quality of life for all residents during these challenging times.
