Comrade Olayiwola Sulaiman has joined hundreds of residents from the Kosofe Federal constituency to share his insights on the recent outcry from Ikosi Isheri regarding the emergence of Agboyi Ketu LCDA Chairman, Mayor Dele Oshinowo, as the best performing Local Government Chairman according to Lagos Reporters.
In response to the controversy, Comrade Olayiwola Sulaiman expressed his attempt to understand the rationale behind the outcry from the leadership of Ikosi Isheri under Mayor Samiat Bada. He questioned the validity of the outcry, particularly considering the distinguished recognition accorded to Ikosi Isheri administration in the presence of Agboyi Ketu, under the leadership of Mayor Dele Oshinowo.
Comrade Olayiwola Sulaiman raised thought-provoking questions directed at Ikosi Isheri officials, including the Super for Environment, Hon. Kehinde Fatoki, and the majority leader of Ikosi Isheri legislative arm, Councilor Adekoya Gbadegoke. He challenged them to contemplate whether they could achieve more or less if they were the Chairman of the LCDA.
Highlighting Mayor Dele Oshinowo’s initiatives, Comrade Olayiwola Sulaiman praised the efforts towards infrastructure development, including the construction of housing estates and the improvement of roads. He emphasized the transformational impact of these projects on the image and progress of Agboyi Ketu LCDA.
In contrast, Comrade Olayiwola Sulaiman criticized Mayoress Samiat Bada’s administration for what he perceived as lackluster achievements, stating that even previous administrations, such as that of the late Oyesanya, performed better. He called upon Ikosi Isheri leadership to go beyond superficial gestures like student form purchases and giveaways, and instead focus on meaningful initiatives that truly benefit the community.
Comrade Olayiwola Sulaiman’s remarks reflect the sentiments of many residents, underscoring the need for effective leadership and tangible development efforts to address the needs of the community.
