The Lagos State Government has undertaken ambitious infrastructure projects, marking a significant milestone in its commitment to sustainable development and urban resilience.
At the forefront of these initiatives is the construction of 13 new jetties and terminals strategically positioned across the state. These new facilities, announced by the Commissioner for Waterfront Infrastructure Development, Yacoob Ekundayo Alebiosu, during the 2024 Ministerial Press briefing, aim to alleviate pressure on roads, enhance commerce, and promote tourism while fostering safer and more efficient water transportation systems.
