Gabriel Oluwafemi, an All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirant for Kosofe constituency 1 in the 2023 Lagos State House of Assembly race, has aligned himself with a factional Mandate Group movement within the party.
The recently relaunched Tinubu Mandate Group, a pivotal wing of the APC, has witnessed the emergence of several factions in Kosofe, particularly within Lagos State.
Kosofe Post investigations reveal that the Mandate Movement factions are led by key figures including the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Honourable Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, the Chief of Staff to the Lagos State Government, Tayo Ayinde, and Abdullahi Enilolobo.
Over the past weekend, Enilolobo’s faction organized a grand 62nd special birthday celebration in Ojota, Kosofe, honoring the immediate past Lawmaker representing Kosofe Federal constituency, Hon. Rotimi Agunsoye. The event served as a platform for consolidating support and showcasing the faction’s influence, with Hon. Agunsoye being a prominent leader and financial backer of the Mandate Movement in Kosofe.
Shortly after, the Obasa faction took charge, coordinating activities in Kosofe under the guidance of the current Lawmaker representing Kosofe Federal constituency of Lagos, Hon. Kafilat Ogbara. Mandate Ward meetings were convened across Kosofe, with Oluwafemi Gabriel making a notable appearance. During one of the gatherings, Gabriel contributed by donating bags of rice and pledged further support to the factional groups, signaling his alignment with their cause.
