The recent car gift to Olusegun Apena, the publisher of Kosofe Reporters, has ignited significant discourse across the Kosofe Federal constituency and beyond, challenging the political landscape and attitudes towards loyalty and dedication. The car, donated by former lawmaker Hon. Rotimi Agunsoye, has drawn congratulations from a wide array of family, supporters, and even critics, highlighting Apena’s resilience and commitment.
Publisher and CEO of MOSCHINOBLOG, Engr. Olusola Emmanuel Adedayo, and other notable figures such as Oloye Seun Salami, President of Ta’awun Political Forum, Taiwo Lasisi, and Comrade Olayiwola Sulaiman, have extended their heartfelt congratulations. They acknowledge Apena’s perseverance through the tumultuous build-up to the 2023 general elections, amidst strong opposition from within his own APC party.
Taiwo Lasisi lauded Apena’s patience and loyalty, stating, “Olusegun Apena’s patience and tenacity have vindicated him. Let this be a lesson that everyone has their time.” Lasisi urged politicians to abandon unprincipled tactics and focus on genuine efforts to gain political success.
Oloye Salami Oluwaseun, despite ideological differences with Apena, celebrated the car gift as a symbol of transformation. He reflected on their past political clashes and recognized Apena’s dedication and media prowess in supporting his principal. “This is a reward for hard work, loyalty, dedication, and perseverance,” Salami noted.
In contrast, Comrade Olayiwola Sulaiman expressed concerns about the political values being nurtured within APC Kosofe. He criticized the practice of labeling image maligning as loyalty and dedication, suggesting that such behavior merely serves self-interest. “The public should note that the fellow in question is of questionable character,” Sulaiman warned.
Adding to the discourse, Kosofe Post publisher Abayomi Bilesanmi praised Apena and commended the former lawmaker for his media-friendly approach. Bilesanmi called on the political class to empower dedicated individuals like Apena rather than exploiting them for narrow political interests.
