Ikosi Isheri Local Council Development Area’s Executive Chairman, Samiat Bada, has publicly commended Senator Mukhail Tokunbo Abiru FCA, who represents Lagos East Senatorial District, for his consistent and impactful support to the Ikosi Isheri communities.
This commendation was detailed in a press statement released on Sunday by Mr. Kehinde Hamzat, the Chief Press Secretary to the Mayoress of Ikosi Isheri LCDA.
Chairman Bada highlighted Senator Abiru’s unwavering commitment through various intervention initiatives, which include the ongoing construction of a massive recreation center, periodic distribution of palliatives to flood victims across the Kosofe axis, and regular distribution of food packs and other essentials to vulnerable residents. Additionally, Senator Abiru has facilitated empowerment opportunities through entrepreneurship training, provided slots for teacher training workshops, and secured federal government financial grants for the entire Kosofe region.

Bada’s accolades come amid a viral report from cabinet member Mr. Isiaka Gbadesere, who alleged that Senator Abiru has focused his empowerment efforts on Ikorodu, neglecting Kosofe. This was in response to a recent initiative where 300 farmers were empowered in selected local governments, excluding Kosofe.
In her statement, Samiat Bada reaffirmed the significant contributions of Senator Abiru to Ikosi Isheri, emphasizing that his support is both prompt and periodic, addressing the critical needs of the community and fostering development.
