In a gesture of goodwill marking the Eid-el-Kabir festivities, Councilor Saheed Omogbolan, the Majority Leader of the Legislative Arm and Chairmanship aspirant for Agboyi Ketu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), distributed 10 kilograms of food items to over 300 beneficiaries. This initiative was accompanied by a heartfelt message emphasizing unity and religious tolerance among Muslims.
Councilor Saheed Omogbolan, known affectionately as Elewedu, shared his felicitations in a statement to the press, encouraging Muslims to embrace the teachings of the Holy Quran that promote peace and unity. He underscored the significance of Eid-el-Kabir as a time for demonstrating love and compassion, echoing the virtues exemplified by Prophet Muhammad.
Reflecting on the achievements of the Mayor Dele Oshinowo-led administration, Omogbolan highlighted impactful policies, programs, and projects aimed at improving the lives of residents. He urged continued support from the community to ensure these efforts translate into tangible benefits for all.
Furthermore, Councilor Omogbolan called upon the youth to prepare themselves for future leadership roles at the grassroots level. He emphasized the importance of youth involvement in governance and encouraged them to actively participate in shaping their communities.
Omogbolan extended warm wishes for a joyous and successful Eid celebration to all faithfuls. He urged residents to support and pray for the APC-led Federal government, expressing optimism that it will continue to meet the aspirations of Nigerians.
