The spirit of late Senator Adebayo Osinowo resonated vibrantly at this year’s Ojude Oba festival in Ijebu Ode, as prominent politicians from across Kosofe Federal Constituency gathered to celebrate the Osinowo family’s Ileya festivities. Known for its pomp and pageantry, the event saw a convergence of dignitaries paying homage to the late senator’s enduring legacy.
Senator Adebayo Osinowo, who represented Lagos East Senatorial District until his passing on June 15, 2020, was fondly remembered amidst a backdrop of traditional Yoruba culture and community spirit. The festival, traditionally coincided with Eid-el-Kabir marks the culmination of the hajj and is celebrated by Muslims throughout the world., was transformed into a heartfelt tribute to the late lawmaker, whose influence extended far beyond the political realm.
Politicians and community leaders, including Agboyi Ketu LCDA Chairman Mayor Dele Oshinowo and Lagos State House of Assembly member Hon. Sanni Ganiu Babatunde Okanlawon, joined the festivities in solidarity with the Osinowo family. The occasion also attracted numerous other dignitaries from Kosofe Federal Constituency, underscoring Senator Osinowo’s enduring impact and the unity he fostered during his tenure.
