Ogungbo, a seasoned politician and dedicated community member, has lived in Alapere since 1996 and has been actively involved in the region’s political landscape. He emphasizes the importance of competent leadership and community engagement in achieving sustainable development. “If wise men refuse to participate in politics, then you find foolish people ruling over them,” he remarked, highlighting his commitment to active involvement and transformative leadership.
Ogungbo envisions a vibrant, prosperous, and inclusive Agboyi Ketu where infrastructure is modern and efficient, education is accessible and of high quality, healthcare is affordable and available, economic opportunities are abundant, and community engagement is strong.
To bring this vision to life, Ogungbo has laid out a detailed plan focusing on several key areas such as infrastructure development, education enhancement, health provision, and economic development.
Ogungbo’s plans include supporting small businesses, developing industrial zones, promoting tourism, facilitating skills development, encouraging public-private partnerships, supporting job creation programs, and promoting remote work. “Formal employment is not the ultimate,” he noted, emphasizing the importance of government support in building and expanding local enterprises.
Ogungbo aims to ensure active community involvement in governance through regular town hall meetings, community advisory committees, open communication, community development projects, and youth and women empowerment programs. He believes that fostering community engagement will lead to a more inclusive, responsive, and accountable governance system in Agboyi Ketu LCDA.
To ensure the sustainability of his initiatives, Ogungbo plans to develop comprehensive project plans, engage stakeholders, establish monitoring and evaluation systems, ensure financial sustainability, build local capacity, and promote ownership and accountability among community members. “My commitment is to work tirelessly to achieve this and make Agboyi Ketu LCDA a model of sustainable development,” he asserted.
