Reflecting on the past three years, Ogunlewe remarked that the celebrations symbolized the breadth of achievements realized under his leadership. He stated that the projects undertaken were driven by a sense of responsibility to the electorate, rather than merely responding to requests.

“A journey of a thousand miles begins in one day, and for the wise, it results in a fruitful journey with laudable achievements visible to generations yet unborn,” Ogunlewe said. He thanked the community leaders for their trust and support, which he credited as crucial to the administration’s success.

Minister of State for Youths Development, Mr. Ayodele Olawande, praised Ogunlewe’s dedication, noting the completion of 36 road constructions over the past three years as evidence of his commitment to grassroots development. “Unlike some leaders who prioritize personal gain, Ogunlewe focuses on governance that benefits the entire community,” Olawande noted.

Mr. Bolaji Kayode Robert, Lagos State Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs, and Rural Development, also spoke at the event, urging youths to avoid participating in the planned protest from August 1 to August 10. He stressed the importance of maintaining peace and preventing a recurrence of the violence witnessed during the 2020 EndSARS protests.
