Comrade Ibrahim Shaibu has raised concerns over alleged fraudulent activities by EasyBuy, a smartphone financing platform, claiming they are exploiting unsuspecting Nigerians.

In an exclusive interview with KosofePost on Thursday, Shaibu revealed he had intervened on behalf of Rosemary Blessing, a customer who had reportedly been misled by the company. Despite completing her payment of N104,000 for a phone, EasyBuy allegedly demanded additional funds.

Shaibu, frustrated by two days of unanswered calls from the company, stated, “How can they demand more money after she fulfilled her obligations?”

Describing the action as “satanic,” Shaibu warned that if Blessing’s app services were not restored by the close of business, he would not only report the matter to the police but also petition the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and pursue criminal charges against EasyBuy and its representatives.

Efforts to reach EasyBuy for comment were unsuccessful at the time of this report. EasyBuy, registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission, offers customers flexible smartphone financing options with payments spread over 3 to 12 months.
