Prince Kazeem Oluwaseun Balogun, also known as KOB, the Special Adviser on Community Service to the Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Mayor Dele Oshinowo, has distributed various back-to-school materials to pupils in five schools in Lagos.
Balogun, who also serves as the Coordinator of the KOB Foundation, announced this on Friday during the distribution of educational materials to over 1000 pupils in Agboyi-Ketu Ward A. The schools that benefited from the initiative include Pastor Adegboyega Primary School, Omos Private International School, Balogate Primary School, Chasec Foundation Nursery & Primary School, and Asidiq Primary School.
Speaking at the event, Balogun emphasized that the foundation’s goal is to give back to society and support Mayor Dele Oshinowo’s efforts to improve the quality of education in the council. “We aim to provide these pupils with essentials like school sandals, writing materials, and socks to support their education and help them achieve academic excellence,” he said.
He further explained that the initiative is not tied to electioneering but is part of the foundation’s commitment to education. “Some parents are unable to afford these basic items, so we are stepping in to help,” Balogun added.
The KOB Foundation has been involved in various community support activities over the past five years, including the provision of relief packages for 500 residents and medical assistance, such as cataract surgeries and eye screenings, benefiting hundreds in Agboyi-Ketu.
