ENLIGHTENING THE NATION Being the Intellectual Address to the Press on the 16th of October, 2024 By Enganimn Sola Odumosu Father of Celebrology,
World Leading Celebration Thinker.

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Press,

At the wake of intellectual discovery of Celebrology (the scientific study of honour) which I created as a new academic field of study for global universities and a new thinking revolution in our world, I postulated the celebration theory, quite unprecedented , becoming in time, the World Leading Celebration Thinker. Created in the intellectual pursuit of human dignity as a result of September 11, 2001 crises in America, Celebrology will be fully launched in the United States between 25th of August to 1st of September, 2025. However, it remains a thing of urgency from now to begin to use the knowledge of Celebrology in addressing the complexity of global issues in its everyday usefulness and the value it adds to our world.

  1. Celebration – The Heartbeat of Celebrology The 50th Birthday Celebration of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, finds its place in the branch of study of Celebrology known as celebration. Celebration has been regarded as the heartbeat of Celebrology. It was the Abuja Terrorist Bomblast of the 1st of October, 2010 that led to the postulation of the celebration theory, absorbing celebration into Celebrology (the scientific study of honour) in attempt to enlighten the world, presents to me the biggest intellectual task of my life, in raising the global awareness that celebration must originate from the genuine template of human dignity, that celebration must be used in the interest of humanity to respect dignity of the human person; that this same celebration must be used to unite all and not divide all, to bring progress, promote peace and development of our world. No genuine celebration can be carried out anywhere on the planet earth without respect for human dignity. The celebration theory I postulated is making waves globally in our contemporary world and is universally applied everywhere on the planetary habitat. My book: ” What Is Celebration? – Leading the World Through the Tunnel of My Thinking Revolution” remains a major reference everywhere and is a testament to my authority on celebration across the world. This is not intellectual arrogance but a humble submission of my ingenius waves of rationality which has no rival anywhere for which I am being refered to as the World Leading Celebration Thinker for traiblazing the intellectual discovery of celebration on the intellectual template of Celebrology globally. The Ooni’s 50th birthday is a Special Superlative Birthday in the celebration theory and in the future, looking at the magnitude and soaring tide of his royalty, may turn out to be among the grand superlative birthdays to be reckoned with as he begins with this landmark birthday celebration. The truth is, his 50th birthday has inspired the celebration phenomenon known as fibidabir. But before we dive into fibidabir, let us consider the two types of birthday we have and where Ooni’s birthday belongs at 50.
  2. Special Superlative Birthday: Where The Ooni’s Birthday Belongs

There are two types of birthday: (i) Commonative Birthday and the (ii) Superlative Birthday. While the commonative is attributed to ordinary members of the society, the superlative belongs to the living legends and heroes. The commonative is subdivided into the lower commonative and higher commonative. The superlative is also sudivided into the special superlative and grand superlative. However Ooni’s 50th birthday is a special superlative because it carries the marvellous formality of invitation in what may appear as a close ground celebration (which is one of the two types to which celebration is broadly divided) which takes place on the polypersons stage. This clearly testifies to the 17th of October 2024’s 50th birthday celebration of Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi which takes place at Ojaja Arena, Ife Grand Resort. to which only the “specially” invited dignitaries are expected to attend. If you are not specially invited, then you are not expected to be there, otherwise you will be regarded as a bystander or bysitter as we call it in Celebrology.

  1. Fibidabir: The Celebraton Phenomenon That Ooni Inspires

First to address is the celebration phenomenon known as fibidabir which Ooni inspires. Fibidabir has been coined from Yoruba fi ibi dabira which literally means do the impressive with birth. Fibidabir simply means a celebration phenomenon in which the celebrater uses his birthday to do highly impressive things to the dismay of everyone in which he attracts the admiration of the people. Fibidabir creates an appealing sense of affection that nearly contests with another celebration phenomenon known as “tiwonrow”. Here is the contradictory flame of excitement, while the tiwonrow is applied to the grand superlative birthday of heroes including the living legends in which people do amazing things in their honour, to express their admiration for the celebrater by removing the celebration from the hand of the celebrater, thus turning and making it their own celebration, good examples were during the birthday celebrations of fathers of faith in Nigeria (just as it is done anywhere else in the world, Nelson Mandela Day in South Africa, Mahatma Gandhi Day in India) such as Pastor E.A Adeboye and Bishop David Oyedepo where the people carried out philanthropic activities in their honour, donated money to the needy, gave food to the downtrodden and restored hope to the hopeless. The recent 70th bithday of Bishop David Oyedepo is still fresh on our mind; fibidabir operates in the opposite in the superlative birthday for the benefits of all. The celebrater in his goodwill quest of things does it by himself, for himself in appreciative self-apraisal and in honour of those he admires on whom he likes to bestow his affection. This is exactly what Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife did on his various executions of projects. For the sake of emphasis, when the number of years of one’s birthday becomes the reason as in the basis to executing projects in proportional measure, it is called katorib. This celebration phenomenon is common to birthdays. Katorib explains the celebrological rationality behind the 50 projects being executed by Ooni to celebrate his 50th birthday.
However, fibidabir exists in two dimensions of things: One is framion and two, is toriea. While the framion is attributed to the good things done as regards the benefaction on the project execution being done for oneself in one’s honour, the other is being carried out in honour of another person. The constrction of Ojaja Hostel which he named after himself is framion. While the erection of the statue of Senator Oluremi Tinubu and including the road and pavilion named after her is toriea. I quote the Ooni of Ife, “As I begin my 50th birthday celebrations with meaningful activities for the people of Ile-Ife, I was honored to welcome Her Excellency, the First Lady of Nigeria, to the Royal Court of Ife. Her visit, attended by dignitaries, marked the unveiling of the OJAJA hostel, and the commissioning of a 2.7-kilometer road and a pavilion named in her honor at Obafemi Awolowo University. These events reflect our shared commitment to progress for our community and nation. Her Excellency’s journey from a student at Obafemi Awolowo University over 41 years ago to a national leader is inspiring. She has consistently championed the rights of women and children across Nigeria, advocating for gender equality, education, and social welfare. Her support for entrepreneurial programs has fostered a new generation of female leaders, contributing to national development.
Like Her Excellency, I urge all leaders to serve Nigeria with integrity, compassion, and patriotism. Our nation requires socio-economic initiatives that reach all corners, and it is our duty to be sources of hope and strength in shaping Nigeria’s future.”

  1. Immortalism -The Heavyweight Champion of Celebrology

Acclaimed as the heavyweight champion of Celebrology, immortalism is where honour is being deeply expressed to our human persons. Immortalism is another branch of Celebrology.
Immortalism strives to find relevance in all aspects of celebrological rationality, perhaps why it deeply entangles itself with celebration. The question is, why? It lies in the celebration phenomenon known as faypolongmium. Faypologmium establishes the affection that overwhelms the celebrater in which he glorifies another fellow in the act of naming things after him or her. This streak of excitement is best projected at celebration, perhaps an affirmative exuberance that lluminates an expression of happiness. This is the case with Ooni of Ife’s naming of 2.7-Kilometer road and Pavilion after Senator Oluremi Tinubu. It is called immortalism in Celebrology. Immortalism itself exists in forms. such as eniteros, itedornics, figurity and scholastics. Ooni has only indulged in two out of the four which are: itedornics and figurity. The namng of places or material things such as building falls under itedornics, an example is the 2.7-kilometer road including the Pavilion named after Senator Oluremi Tinubu. On the other hand, figurity is the erection of statue or making of images on things to honour a given personality on which the name is written, for example, the erection of Senator OluremiTinubu’s statue. This brand of immortalism which is being carried our within a university is called benefactorisation. The Ooni of Ife in this case is regarded as a transferer immortalist.

In conclusion, no act of honour can be carried out anywhere without respect for human dignity and it must equally originate from the genuine template of human dignity. This is why honour in itself is a transfiguric expression, hence what is regarded in Celebrology as transfigurism. For to have honour and live honourably is to have dignity and live with dignity. Now any celebration in which an act of immortalism is being carried out in the process must reflect, account and clearly justify our dignifying disposition to things that whoever indulges in it or in whose honour such act is being carried out possesses dignity and truly lives with dignity in rendering selfless service to humanity in promoting peace and development in our world.
