Senator Abiru Commissions New Classrooms, 40-Bed Health Centre in Lagos East

Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru FCA handed over two major community projects on Monday as his way of boosting education and healthcare in Lagos East Senatorial District.. Residents of Somolu Local Government Area and Agboyi-Ketu LCDA welcomed Senator Abiru as he commissioned 22 classrooms at Wright Memorial Nursery and Primary School in Somolu and a 40-bed Primary Health Centre at Mascara Health Centre in Agboyi-Ketu.

At the well-attended event, Senator Abiru was joined by Her Excellency Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), whose office played a vital role in facilitating the projects.

Expressing his gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for his support, Abiru underscored the importance of early childhood education. “The quality of education at this stage significantly influences children’s academic success and social skills. By creating a nurturing environment here at Wright Memorial, we are giving our children the best possible start in life,” he said.

Later, Abiru commissioned the 40-bed health facility in Agboyi-Ketu, which is expected to improve maternal and child health services. “This facility, with modern medical equipment and a dedicated team, will enhance healthcare delivery in the community,” he remarked.

The event was graced by several leaders, including Senator Anthony Adefuye, Hon. Ademorin Kuye, and Hon. Kafilat Ogbara, who praised Abiru’s impactful leadership.
