A factional rift within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State has reignited following reports of a rice donation to the Justice Forum by the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Hon. Moyosore Ogunlewe.

According to a circulated video, the Mandate Movement Group alleged that Ogunlewe delivered 250 bags of rice to the Justice Forum in Lagos East. The accompanying caption read: “The Mandate Movement Group has donated 250 bags of rice to the Justice Forum group Lagos East, delivered by Hon. Moyosore Ogunlewe, the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government.”

The gesture, however, sparked sharp criticism from Mandate Movement supporters, who questioned the financial stability of their rival group. A concerned APC member remarked, “Is the Justice Forum facing financial constraints that prevent them from acquiring basic necessities like rice? The Mandate Group must intervene to stop their unjust actions.”

The commenter further dismissed the Mandate Movement’s influence in Lagos East, specifically in Greater Kosofe, as “minimal and insignificant.”

The exchange highlights growing tension within the APC factions as both groups jostle for dominance in Lagos East, raising questions about party unity ahead of key political activities.

While the Justice Forum is yet to respond officially, the donation has stirred debates over internal party dynamics and the use of resources for political leverage during the festive season.
