Salami Hosts Kosofe APC Stakeholders

Prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders from Kosofe stormed the Ikorodu residence of Oloye Seun Salami on January 1st to celebrate the New Year in a display of community spirit and political camaraderie. The event marked the 10th anniversary of Salami’s yearly New Year get-together, which has become a cherished tradition in Kosofe.

The gathering, which drew political leaders, community heads, and well-wishers, was a moment of joy and celebration. Notable attendees included the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Hon. Moyosore Ogunlewe; Kosofe APC LGA Chairman, Alhaji Kehinde Bello; and former councilors, Hon. Ibrahim Mustapha and Hon. Dayo Lawal, among others.

Other dignitaries included religious leaders, youth groups, women’s organizations, and Salami’s associates and partners, all sharing in the celebratory atmosphere.

Speaking to KosofePost during the event, Salami expressed gratitude for witnessing 2025 with loved ones, describing the occasion as a fulfilling moment of joy.

“It gives me joy and happiness celebrating the New Year with my family, friends, political associates, and community developers. For the past decade, this tradition has been a way to share love and happiness with those around me. I always feel fulfilled starting the year with my people,” Salami said.

He further extended heartfelt appreciation to his guests, singling out the notable contributions of key stakeholders like Barr. Moyosore Ogunlewe, Alhaji Kehinde Bello, and Baale Selewu of Igbogbo Kingdom, Chief Olusola Olugbode. Salami also acknowledged the presence of chairmanship hopeful Hon. Hammed Aroyehun, NYCN Legal Adviser Barr. Leke Aroyehun, and other prominent figures, including APC ward leaders and community representatives.

Salami’s commitment to fostering community unity and engagement through this annual event has set a record of consistency and goodwill in Kosofe. For many, his New Year gathering has become an emblem of dedication to the ideals of togetherness and service.
