Her heartfelt gesture, witnessed by her mother-in-law and captured on video by her husband’s boss, left those present surprised yet deeply moved. “Some people around were wondering what I was doing,” Bose admitted, adding, “I know I’m dramatic, but one thing you can’t take away from me is that I love to honor people. I am not an ingrate.”

A Husband’s Sacrifices

Ifedayo recounted the immense sacrifices her husband made to support her dreams. While she pursued her studies, Bode worked two jobs to cover the family’s expenses, including her tuition fees. “I tried to work… I got a bakery job and a cleaning job, but because of the stress, hubby asked me to stop,” she shared.

Beyond finances, Bode managed school runs, household chores, and grocery shopping while also showering his wife with gifts and a steady allowance. Ifedayo emphasized his cheerful demeanor and emotional support, saying, “He never brought the stress of work home. He walked in cheerful and always ready to listen to my many rants about school stress.”

Emotional and Spiritual Support

Ifedayo highlighted her husband’s role as a pillar of emotional and spiritual strength, stating, “I’d be the greatest sinner if I didn’t give him his flowers.” She also revealed how his kindness and respect inspired her to honor him in return, adding, “There is nothing I do for and to my husband that he doesn’t do more for me, especially when no one is watching to give him praise.”

A Message to Husbands

In her reflective post, Ifedayo urged men to be more intentional in their marriages, advocating for kindness, loyalty, and thoughtful gestures toward their wives. She wrote, “Spend time and money on her. Be the father she wants you to be to the children and be loyal to your family. Let your wife’s bosom satisfy you. Love her and show it in words and deeds.”

Her heartfelt message concluded with an appeal to husbands to create loving environments for their wives, noting that most women flourish when treated with care and respect.

The highlight of the emotional event was Ifedayo’s demonstration of respect and tradition as she prostrated before her seated husband to present her certificate, with her mother-in-law watching in astonishment.
