Ogbara, APC Stakeholders Celebrate Rival Salami

Hon. Kafilat Ogbara, the first female lawmaker representing Kosofe Federal Constituency, joined well-wishers from her constituency and the Lagos East Senatorial District to celebrate the birthday anniversary of Oloye Seun Salami.

Hon. Ogbara conveyed her heartfelt congratulations through a vibrant, colorfully designed flyer circulated on social media, marking a notable shift in relations between the two figures.

Previously, Oloye Salami, a committed loyalist of Hon. Yaccoub Ekundayo Alebiosu, the Lagos State Commissioner for Waterfront and Infrastructure Development, had been a vocal critic of Hon. Ogbara’s representation. He frequently lambasted her programs and accused her supporters of prioritizing social media appearances over tangible results. This newfound camaraderie signals a thaw in what was once a tense relationship.

Adding to the celebratory spirit, Hon. Carew, a prominent APC stalwart, Chairman of Farmcity International, former Kosofe Chairmanship aspirant (2021), and the 2023 Kosofe Constituency 1 House of Assembly candidate, Supporters joined Salami’s family and well-wishers to honor the occasion. Salami had also been critical of Crew in the past due to intra-party group differences.

The event highlighted a significant moment of reconciliation within the All Progressives Congress (APC), particularly between rival factions like the Tinubu Mandate Group and the Justice Forum. By setting aside their political differences, these stakeholders emphasized the importance of humanity and goodwill over rivalry.
