The Agboyi Ketu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has officially concluded its impactful “We Lift” skills acquisition program, celebrating over 200 graduates who completed vocational training in various fields, including tailoring, hairdressing, catering, event decoration, and computer literacy.

The graduation ceremony, which took place at Tam Royal Multipurpose Hall, was attended by LCDA Chairman Hon. Dele Oshinowo, his wife Alhaja Tawakalitu Oshinowo, community leaders, and local residents. The event marked the culmination of months of hands-on training led by experienced professionals who not only equipped the participants with essential skills but also provided them with starter kits and business support services to launch their entrepreneurial ventures.

In his address, Hon. Oshinowo congratulated the graduates for their perseverance and commitment. “You now have the tools to become self-sufficient and contribute positively to your community,” he said, encouraging them to apply their new skills for personal and communal growth.

Alhaja Tawakalitu Oshinowo also expressed her pride, urging the graduates to embrace entrepreneurship as a way to uplift both themselves and their peers. She emphasized that the program’s success is a testament to the community’s potential and resilience.

Graduates shared their excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to improve their livelihoods, citing not only the economic empowerment they received but also the boost in confidence and self-esteem.

The “We Lift” program is part of the LCDA’s ongoing commitment to empowering residents through sustainable development initiatives. With plans to offer similar programs in the future, Agboyi Ketu LCDA is focused on ensuring that every resident has access to marketable skills that can help improve their quality of life.
