No fewer than eight aspirants on the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC, have declared their intention to contest for the councilorship seat of Orile Oworo Ward B, Kosofe Local Government, in the 2025 local government elections. Among them is Aliu Hamzat Omotolani, popularly known as “Aguero,” a former standout player in the Lagos State Junior League.
Aguero, widely recognized for his contributions to Kosofe’s football development, gained prominence during past local government administrations when the Lagos State Junior League was still active. His remarkable performances on the pitch not only earned him the nickname “Aguero” but also secured him a place in the Lagos State team, bringing recognition to Oworo and Kosofe at large.
According to his supporters, Aguero’s leadership qualities and commitment to community development make him a strong contender for the council seat. They are calling on residents to rally behind him, emphasizing his potential to serve the community in a greater capacity.
