Ganiu Oyebanjo, who previously petitioned the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) against the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Mr. Moyosore Ogunlewe, is set to appear in court today over allegations of theft and document theft.

Oyebanjo’s arraignment comes shortly after the ICPC invited Ogunlewe and several members of his cabinet for questioning as part of an ongoing investigation. While details of the charges against Oyebanjo remain unclear, sources suggest they involve the unauthorized possession and removal of official documents.

The development has sparked widespread speculation, with many questioning whether the charges are connected to Oyebanjo’s petition against the council chairman or stem from an entirely different incident.

Legal experts believe today’s court session could reveal more details and potentially expose underlying political tensions within the Kosofe Local Government. Stakeholders and observers are closely watching the proceedings as the case unfolds.
