In the wake of the political tension rocking Kosofe, Lagos State, Omooba Olumuyiwa Sosanya, a revered accountant and founding father of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), has chosen silence, leaving political observers and stakeholders in suspense.

Sosanya, a prominent figure within the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a member of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), has yet to address the controversies surrounding the return of Ganiu Oyebanjo to mainstream politics.

Oyebanjo’s reemergence is linked to past political maneuvering during the formation of the current Kosofe Local Government Chairman, Mr. Moyosore Ogunlewe’s cabinet. At the time, Oyebanjo, known for his loyalty to Honourable Ganiu Okanlawon, was reportedly sidelined for another candidate. However, insiders revealed that Sosanya played a pivotal role in securing Oyebanjo’s eventual appointment.

With Sosanya’s son currently serving as the Vice Chairman of the local government, many believe his stance is crucial in easing tensions and fostering accountability among key stakeholders. Yet, despite repeated efforts by Kosofe Post to obtain his comments, Sosanya has maintained silence.

Political analysts are now left wondering whether the APC stalwart will eventually speak or continue to watch from the sidelines as the political storm in Kosofe unfolds.
