The Lagos State Supervisors and SA’s Forum (LSSF) has distanced itself from the alleged misconduct of Mr. Ganiyu Olamiji Oyebanjo, the Special Adviser on Boundary Matters to the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government.
In a statement signed by LSSF Chairman, Hon. Ayo Hector Coker, and General Secretary, Hon. Azeezat Damilola Odubao, the forum accused Oyebanjo of illegally obtaining official documents belonging to the Local Government Authority (LGA) for personal gain and blackmail.
According to the LSSF, Oyebanjo repeatedly ignored multiple invitations to appear before its executive committee for clarification on the allegations, with the first summons issued on March 4, 2025. Following an internal investigation, the forum maintained that Oyebanjo had no legal authority to possess the documents in question without the consent of the Executive Chairman.
The forum strongly condemned his actions, emphasizing that they do not reflect its values.
“We hereby write to inform you that his actions do not define us as a forum, and we completely frown at such misconduct,” the statement read. “On no account should such documents be admissible, as we totally condemn such acts.”
The LSSF also reassured the public that necessary steps are being taken to refute Oyebanjo’s claims and ensure he is held accountable. It further reiterated its commitment to transparency and ethical conduct within the organization.
Authorities and relevant stakeholders are expected to take further action on the matter in due course.
