Hon. Oyebanjo Ganiu, Special Adviser on Boundary Matters in Kosofe Local Government, has been suspended from office over allegations of gross misconduct.
A source within the council disclosed to Kosofe Post that the decision was reached during an Executive meeting held earlier this week. The suspension follows Oyebanjo’s recent legal troubles, including his arrest and prosecution at the Lagos Magistrate Court.
Oyebanjo reportedly spent a week in custody at the Correctional Centre while working to perfect his bail conditions. He is facing charges related to the possession of classified documents and the theft of official materials, raising concerns about his actions while in office.
The suspension is seen as a significant development in the ongoing case, with further updates on the legal proceedings anticipated.
