Suspended Kosofe LG Aide, Ganiu Oyebanjo, Released from Detention

Hon. Ganiu Oyebanjo, the suspended Special Adviser on Boundary Matters to Kosofe Local Government, was released from Ikoyi Correctional Centre on Tuesday, March 25, after nearly two weeks in detention.

Oyebanjo, dressed in a maroon outfit, was seen prostrating on the ground in an emotional display of gratitude and prayer. With his head touching the dusty road, he expressed deep appreciation to God, while onlookers observed the moment.

His detention followed allegations of being in possession of classified documents belonging to Kosofe Local Government. His release marks the end of what is believed to have been a difficult period for him, with his public reaction suggesting a sense of relief and spiritual thanksgiving.
