The Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Barrister Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe, has extended warm wishes to residents as they celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, marking the conclusion of Ramadan.
In his Eid message, Ogunlewe highlighted the significance of the celebration beyond festivity, describing it as a call for continued spiritual growth and communal transformation. Quoting Surah Ali-Imran (3:200) from the Holy Qur’an, he emphasized the importance of perseverance, endurance, and faith in Allah as key to achieving success.
He urged residents to uphold the virtues of self-discipline, empathy, and collective responsibility cultivated during Ramadan, expressing hope that these values would foster lasting peace, social harmony, and development within the local government.
“Let the spirit of Ramadan transcend this month, becoming a catalyst for sustainable peace, social cohesion, and meaningful local development,” Ogunlewe stated.
The chairman concluded by praying for the acceptance of the community’s fasting, prayers, and charitable acts while wishing all residents a joyous and blessed Eid celebration.
