The Muslim community in Anthony Village, Lagos, is mourning the passing of Alhaji Miftau Olasunkanmi Abayomi, the former Imam of Anthony Village Central Mosque. His demise comes nearly five years after the loss of his wife, leaving a deep sense of sorrow among worshippers and residents.
Publisher of KosofePost, Bilesanmi Abayomi, expressed profound grief over the cleric’s passing. Having spent his formative years in the Anthony Village-Mende Maryland area of Kosofe Local Government, he joined the Muslim faithful and local residents in paying tribute to the late Imam.
“His death is a great loss to us all,” Bilesanmi stated. “On behalf of the KosofePost publisher and management, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the Abayomi family of Anthony Village, as well as the Kosofe and Epe communities of Lagos State.”
The KosofePost also prayed for Allah’s forgiveness and mercy upon the late cleric, seeking Al-Jannah Firdaus for him. The publication extended prayers for strength and solace to his bereaved family, the Anthony Village Muslim community, the Kosofe League of Imams and Alfas, and all affected by his passing.
