The ceremony was performed by the four Isolo Kingmakers and members of the Òşùgbò-Ìbílẹ cult, reinforcing the kingdom’s deep-rooted customs.
As part of his enthronement, Oba Shekoni-Faronbi paid homage to Isolo’s revered deities, including Panada, Obaluwaiye, Oba-Ojo, Ogun-Ilu, Odo-Iyewa Grove, and the historic Afa Bridge “Anibire.” These rituals were conducted to invoke peace, prosperity, and a successful reign for the new monarch.
The coronation was a grand affair, with indigenes and non-indigenes of Isolo coming together in celebration. The event was characterized by cultural displays, traditional music, and a palpable sense of unity among the people.
