The Executive Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Dele Oshinowo, has earned widespread praise from citizens and political observers as the construction of the new Agboyi-Ketu LCDA Administrative Building nears completion. The project, which is currently in the plastering and screeding phase, is being hailed as a transformative initiative for grassroots governance in Lagos State.
The new council secretariat is a state-of-the-art, multipurpose structure featuring three suspended floors. Upon completion, the building will include a modern legislative chamber, a registry, a multipurpose hall, and 80 office rooms, all fully equipped with contemporary amenities.
Hon. Oshinowo described the project as a bold demonstration of “excellence, forward-thinking, and commitment to growth at the grassroots level.” He stressed that the building is not just a physical edifice, but a symbol of improved service delivery and a better working environment for public servants in the LCDA.
Reactions to the project have been overwhelmingly positive across social media platforms, with many users commending Oshinowo’s leadership and vision. Some commentators even compared the project to larger political achievements, with one user noting, “Even Pitobi never get this achievement since the time he dey work for the antidemocratic dictator Abacha.” Another remarked, “It’s remarkable and also shows how incompetent a lot of these state governors have been in Nigeria.”
As the building moves closer to completion, residents and stakeholders in Agboyi-Ketu are eagerly anticipating a new era of administrative efficiency and enhanced public service delivery in the LCDA.
