A group of residents under the banner of Concerned Constituents for Truth & Progress has risen in defence of Hon. Kafilat Adetola Ogbara, Member of the House of Representatives representing Kosofe Federal Constituency, over what they described as misleading claims aimed at discrediting her performance.

In a statement issued by the group, the constituents dismissed recent allegations questioning Hon. Ogbara’s effectiveness, describing them as baseless attempts to undermine her achievements and contributions to the development of the constituency.

The group cited her active participation in national legislative matters, where she has consistently raised motions and engaged in debates addressing the welfare of both her constituents and Nigerians at large. They described her record as a reflection of dedication to grassroots development and national progress.
“Hon. Ogbara has shown genuine commitment to improving lives in Kosofe through her legislative responsibilities and numerous community-based projects,” the statement noted.
Highlighting her efforts beyond the floor of the House, the group pointed to initiatives facilitated by Ogbara such as job placement schemes, educational support, healthcare outreaches, and infrastructure development across various parts of the constituency.
The group also rejected claims that she has failed to maintain contact with her constituents. According to them, Hon. Ogbara has consistently held town hall meetings and informal engagements, ensuring that residents have access to her and her team for support and feedback.
“Her constituency office remains open and responsive. Hon. Ogbara has built a reputation for being accessible and attentive to the needs of the people,” said Hon. Bamidele Ajayi, who spoke on behalf of the Concerned Constituents for Truth & Progress.
The group urged the public to rely on verified information and to support leaders who are focused on service delivery, rather than giving attention to what they called politically motivated falsehoods.
They reaffirmed their support for Hon. Ogbara, calling her a “pillar of progress” in Kosofe.
