In a statement released by her son, Lanre Oladunjoye, the breach has resulted in a series of suspicious messages being sent from the commissioner’s phone number. Many of the messages allegedly request urgent financial assistance or contain dubious claims.

Efforts are ongoing to recover the compromised account and restore control. In the meantime, family members and close associates are advising the public to remain alert and refrain from engaging with any communications linked to the hacked account.
“Please do not respond or take any action based on the hacker’s messages,” the statement added. “We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time.”
