The first runner-up of the Face of Maryland beauty pageant, Vanessa Harte, has donated essential toiletries and vital medical tools to Onigbongbo Primary Health Centre in Lagos State as part of her community health initiative.
Harte visited the facility earlier this week and presented the items to support the delivery of healthcare services, especially for underserved residents who rely on the centre.
Speaking during the visit, Harte said the gesture was part of her ongoing pet project aimed at strengthening local healthcare systems and promoting community wellness.
“This project is very close to my heart,” she said. “Access to basic hygiene products and medical tools can make a significant difference in patient care. I am honoured to be able to contribute in any way I can.”
Staff at the health centre received the donation with gratitude, noting that the supplies would help improve hygiene and enhance patient care. They commended Harte for her thoughtfulness and called the intervention a timely boost to their operations.
The Face of Maryland pageant is known for promoting not only beauty and intelligence but also social impact through community service. Harte’s visit is seen as a reflection of the pageant’s broader mission to inspire positive change.
