Publisher of KosofePost, Bilesanmi Abayomi, popularly known as KOKO, has congratulated the Executive Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Mayor Dele Oshinowo, on his recent recognition as Grassroots Development Icon by Vanguard Newspaper.
In a statement issued on Thursday, KOKO described the award as a well-deserved honour, noting that it affirms the merit of a similar accolade conferred on Mayor Oshinowo by KosofePost seven years ago. He said the Vanguard award underscores the chairman’s consistent and measurable impact on grassroots development.
“Your achievements across key sectors such as road and infrastructure development, education, healthcare, environment, agriculture, social development, technology, the Agboyi-Ketu Housing Scheme, market modernization, and empowerment initiatives are commendable,” KOKO stated. “These are well documented and will be referenced in the future.”

KOKO also used the opportunity to call on the incoming administration to sustain the developmental momentum by implementing practical, community-focused policies and avoiding project abandonment. He noted that Mayor Oshinowo is leaving office with no uncompleted projects—a legacy worth preserving.
He further advised that loyal and dedicated party members who contributed to the electoral victories should be duly recognized and rewarded. In addition, he emphasized the importance of professionalism in public communication, urging the appointment of trained journalists or public relations officers as image makers for local governments.
“This should not only apply to Agboyi-Ketu LCDA but to all local governments and local council development areas across the state,” he added.
