The suspended Special Adviser on Boundary Matters to Kosofe Local Government, Hon. Ganiu Oyebanjo, may be heading into a legal battle after failing to respond to defamation notices issued against him by three individuals.
Mr. Taiwo Odusola, Ibrahim Mustafa, and Seun Salami had each served Oyebanjo with separate 14-day defamation notices, demanding a public retraction, apologies published in national newspapers and online platforms, and N100 million in damages. The deadline expired on Wednesday, April 15, with no response from Oyebanjo.

In a related development, Oyebanjo’s son, Ashroff Oyebanjo—also known as Cassandra—was also named in the defamation claims by Ibrahim Mustafa and Seun Salami. They are demanding similar reliefs, including a public apology and N100 million in damages.
Sources familiar with the case told Kosofe Post that Ganiu Oyebanjo has submitted a petition to the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), possibly seeking the party’s intervention. However, unlike his widely circulated petition to an anti-graft agency, details of the petition to the APC remain undisclosed as of the time of filing this report.
With the expiration of the 14-day ultimatum and no public move toward resolution, legal analysts suggest the dispute could escalate into a protracted legal confrontation, as both sides appear determined to pursue their claims.
