In a move aimed at reinforcing confidentiality and integrity within the public service, officials of the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB) on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, took the official Oath of Secrecy.

The ceremony, held at the LASUBEB Multi-Purpose Hall in Lagos, brought together board members and staff, who pledged to safeguard sensitive government information and uphold ethical standards in the discharge of their duties. Holding copies of the Holy Bible and Qur’an, the officials committed to maintaining confidentiality as part of their professional obligations.
Speaking during the event, the Executive Chairman of LASUBEB stressed that confidentiality remains a cornerstone of effective governance and policy implementation. He added that the initiative would not only promote trust within the public education sector but also improve service delivery across board operations.
The oath-taking exercise is part of broader efforts by the Lagos State Government to entrench transparency, accountability, and professionalism across its ministries, departments, and agencies.
