Hon. Adetunji Abiodun Adebajo, popularly known as “Dudu,” has formally declared his intention to contest the Chairmanship of Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA) under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Dudu, known for his grassroots engagement and community-driven leadership, picked up his APC nomination form on Thursday at the party’s State Secretariat on Acme Road, Ikeja, Lagos. He was accompanied by a throng of enthusiastic supporters.
To build momentum ahead of the APC Chairmanship Primary Election scheduled for May 10, Dudu embarked on a strategic consultative tour on Friday, visiting political heavyweights across the Kosofe Federal Constituency.
Among the stakeholders he met were former Minister of Science and Technology, Senator Olorunnimbe Mamora; Member of the House of Representatives for Kosofe Federal Constituency, Hon. Kafilat Ogbara; APC chieftain Otunba Bushira Alebiosu; and former Ikosi-Isheri LCDA Chairman and Bet9ja CEO, Hon. Kunle Soname.
The visits come ahead of the screening of aspirants slated for next week, as Dudu seeks broad-based support within the party to secure the ticket.
With the Local Government Elections set for July 12, Dudu’s candidacy is being closely watched by political observers, many of whom describe it as a credible bid to deepen good governance at the grassroots.
He has anchored his campaign on promises of people-oriented governance, infrastructural renewal, and inclusive community development.
