The Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Barr. Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe, has congratulated his predecessor, Hon. Afolabi Sofola, on the occasion of his birthday.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Comrade Olúwọlé Òbísànyà, Ogunlewe commended Sofola’s leadership and developmental strides during his tenure as Chairman of the council.
“His distinguished service as the immediate past Chairman laid significant foundations upon which the current administration continues to build,” the statement read. “His leadership, dedication, and vision for Kosofe remain a valued legacy in the governance journey of the local government area.”
Ogunlewe’s congratulatory message comes despite recent media attacks allegedly linked to Sofola’s former media aide, Giwa Diekola, which many observers have described as politically motivated.
The Chairman, however, chose to set aside political differences, emphasizing unity and expressing profound gratitude for Sofola’s contributions. He also wished the former Chairman continued success, robust health, and fulfillment in his future endeavours.
