Hon. Tola Oyedele-Abubakar has emerged as the chairmanship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), ahead of the forthcoming local government elections.
The development has been met with celebration by party faithful and residents, who described it as a step towards consolidating progressive governance in the council.
Executive Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Mayor Dele Oshinowo, congratulated Oyedele-Abubakar and pledged full support for her candidacy.
“This is a defining moment not just for you, but for our party and the great people of Agboyi-Ketu,” Oshinowo said. “Your candidacy represents continuity, competence, and a bold step into the future we’ve all worked hard to shape.”
He assured that the APC remains united in its resolve to retain the chairmanship seat, adding that Oyedele-Abubakar is well-positioned to sustain the administration’s development strides.
As the campaign gains momentum, supporters have rallied behind Oyedele-Abubakar with the slogan: “Let the work continue, let the legacy grow. Victory awaits!”
The local government elections are expected to take place in the coming weeks, with the APC aiming to consolidate its hold across key councils in Lagos State.
