In a gesture of solidarity and continued political engagement, the Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) France Chapter, Akogun Olamikekan Akanni, popularly known as Torino, paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Princess Samiat Bada, on Monday, June 2.

The visit, which took place at the council secretariat, was to congratulate Princess Bada on her emergence as the APC flagbearer for the upcoming local government elections scheduled for July 12, 2025.

Speaking to KosofePost on Sunday, Akogun described the visit as both personal and political, citing his deep ties to the community and admiration for the chairman’s performance in office.

“This is where I grew up. This is my route,” he said. “I’ve seen firsthand the remarkable projects she has executed in Ikosi-Isheri. That’s why I went to her office—to thank her and show my support.”

Akogun also used the opportunity to address residents of the LCDA, calling for unity among party members and encouraging full support for the APC chairperson’s re-election bid.

“My message is simple: rally around the elected chairlady and give her all the support she needs. Whatever internal issues there may be within the party, now is the time to come together. I’m confident she won’t disappoint. Her second term will be even more impactful,” he said.
