Frontline chairmanship aspirant in Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Adebajo Abiodun Adetunji, widely known as “Dudu,” has refuted claims circulating on social media and within political circles suggesting that he has withdrawn from the ongoing chairmanship race.
In a strongly worded statement issued on Friday evening and made available to KosofePost, Dudu described the rumour as false, misleading, and an orchestrated attempt to misinform the public and his supporters.
“It has come to our attention that some false information is circulating regarding my purported withdrawal from the Ikosi-Isheri LCDA Chairmanship Coalition. This is completely untrue. I remain committed to the race and our shared vision for Ikosi-Isheri,” the statement read.
Reaffirming his allegiance to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the coalition of aspirants within the party, Dudu called on party members, stakeholders, and the general public to disregard the misleading reports.
“I remain steadfast in my pursuit of service and committed to delivering impactful leadership rooted in inclusion, transparency, and grassroots development,” he added.
The clarification comes amid heightened political activity and final consultations ahead of the Lagos State local government elections scheduled for Saturday, July 12, 2025.
Dudu’s statement is expected to reassure supporters and further solidify his position as a leading contender in the highly anticipated Ikosi-Isheri LCDA race.
