Chairman-elect of Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, alongside Vice Chairman-elect Hon. Olayinka Ogunleye, has pledged renewed loyalty to respected All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart, Otunba Bushira Alebiosu, vowing never to betray his trust again.
The declaration was made during a symbolic presentation of their Certificates of Return to the veteran politician, in recognition of his unwavering support throughout the recently concluded local government elections.
Bada, who emerged victorious in the July 12 polls and received her Certificate of Return from the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC), offered heartfelt gratitude and prayers for Otunba Alebiosu’s long life and continued influence within the party.
“Death is not by age. Anyone who wishes Otunba death will die before him. We will eat akara together. Baba, you have sacrificed so much for us. You will live to celebrate 90, even 100 years,” Bada stated.
Reaffirming her political loyalty, she emphasized that trust and respect for elders remain critical to political success, declaring:
“We will not betray you. In politics, when followers start betraying elders, such individuals rarely succeed. We shall remain loyal to you.”
Elected councillors across the LCDA echoed similar sentiments, offering prayers and pledging allegiance to Otunba Alebiosu as a father figure and political guide.
Political observers recall that during the run-up to the 2023 APC primaries, Princess Bada’s perceived support for Hon. Kafilat Ogbara’s emergence as House of Representatives candidate for Kosofe Federal Constituency stirred controversy. The move was viewed by some within the party as a departure from Otunba Alebiosu’s position, prompting accusations of disloyalty.

Her recent public affirmation is being interpreted as a calculated effort to mend political fences, realign with party elders, and consolidate unity within the APC fold in Kosofe.
As preparations for inauguration begin, the renewed allegiance signals a deliberate pivot toward internal reconciliation and stability within Ikosi-Isheri’s political leadership.
