The Youth Vanguard, a leading grassroots political movement, has paid glowing tribute to the outgoing Executive Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Mayor Dele Osinowo, describing him as “truly strong and reliable.”
In a farewell statement signed by Loogun Oyekunle Jegede, a former Leader of the Youth Vanguard under the Alliance for Democracy (AD), the group commended Mayor Osinowo’s leadership and unwavering commitment to the development of Agboyi-Ketu, calling his tenure both inspiring and unforgettable.
“Your tireless efforts and unwavering dedication as Executive Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA have made the Youth Vanguard proud. Your contributions to the growth and development of the LCDA will forever be etched in our memories,” the statement read.
Mayor Osinowo, a founding member of the Youth Vanguard and a key figure in the AD since 1998, was praised for his steady rise through the political ranks—from party Executive Committee member to Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), and eventually Executive Chairman. His political journey was cited as a testament to his experience, resilience, and leadership capacity.
While expressing mixed feelings over his exit from office, the group expressed confidence in his continued relevance in public service.
“We know you’ll take this opportunity to recharge and prepare for the next phase of your journey. We’re confident that your impact will continue to resonate in Kosofe and beyond,” Jegede added.
The Youth Vanguard concluded the message by expressing gratitude for Mayor Osinowo’s service and wishing him a well-deserved break ahead of what they believe will be even greater responsibilities.
