In a significant push for infrastructure and community development, the Executive Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Mayor Dele Oshinowo, will commission a series of landmark projects on Friday, July 25, 2025.
The commissioning ceremony is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. at the Agboyi-Ketu LCDA Secretariat, Agboyi Road, Alapere, Lagos. It marks a key milestone in the council’s ongoing efforts to deliver people-focused governance and sustainable development.
Among the projects to be unveiled are:
Otunba Bushura Alebiosu Multipurpose Building – A modern complex featuring 84 offices, a legislative chamber, marriage registry, and a public hall.
Agboyi Primary School Upgrade – The school now includes 10 classrooms, a crèche, ICT lab, sick bay, staff offices, and a head teacher’s office.
Agboyi-Ketu Tech Hub – A technology innovation space designed to foster digital inclusion and empower local youth.
HRM Oba Taiwo Adesegun Lamina Sports Centre – A 550-seater sports facility promoting physical wellness and talent development.
Network of Roads – Twelve newly paved roads with drainage systems to ease mobility and tackle flooding in key areas.
Top dignitaries expected at the event include Lagos State Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and Lagos APC Chairman Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi.
This rollout of projects reflects Mayor Oshinowo’s administration’s commitment to responsive governance, infrastructure renewal, and youth-focused innovation.
