Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area has officially inaugurated its 6th Legislative Arm, ushering in a new era of legislative leadership committed to inclusive governance and community-focused development.

The inauguration, held amid high expectations, saw Hon. Ismaila Olamilekan Onikosi emerge as the Leader of the legislative council. His election is widely seen as a move to deepen legislative engagement and promote transparency, responsiveness, and accountability within the council’s decision-making processes.

Joining him in the leadership structure are:

Hon. Deji Osinowo as Deputy Leader,

Hon. Gbadegoke Adekoya as Majority Leader, and

Hon. Mustapha Raji as Chief Whip.

Their emergence reflects a deliberate alignment with the progressive vision of Mayoress Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, whose administration has prioritized people-centered governance and accelerated development in the LCDA.

The new lawmakers are expected to work collaboratively with the executive arm to deliver on policies and legislation that uplift communities, enhance service delivery, and advance development at the grassroots.
