The President of the Ta’awun Political Forum, Lagos, Taiwo Lasisi, has commended The KosofePost, a popular online news platform, for what he described as its objective and fearless approach to reporting matters of public interest.
Lasisi gave the commendation on Saturday in reaction to a recent publication by the platform titled “From Cabinet to Community: Why a Commissioner’s Appointment Matters in Lagos.”
He noted that the publication reflected an open and balanced approach to issues concerning public officers, adding that both their achievements and shortcomings must be brought to public attention without bias.
According to him, selective criticism undermines accountability in governance, stressing that shielding political leaders from scrutiny while attacking others amounts to hypocrisy.
Lasisi reiterated the importance of responsible journalism and civic engagement, urging the media to continue to serve as a guide to leaders and a source of truth for young people.
