Two children of KosofePost founder and publisher, Bilesanmi Abayomi, popularly known as KOKO, have earned international recognition after excelling at the 2025 United Kingdom National Read-Aloud Challenge.

In the 9–10 age category, Moyosore Bilesanmi distinguished himself by placing ninth nationally while clinching first place in Cheshire. His younger sister, Zahra Bilesanmi, also impressed in the 7–8 age group, finishing 15th on the national leaderboard and second in Cheshire.

The children’s success has sparked widespread celebration within Kosofe and beyond. Former Executive Secretary of Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area, Hon. Afolabi Kazeem, popularly known as ABK, was among the first to felicitate with the family.

“Congratulations to Moyosore and Zahra Bilesanmi. May God continue to support the entire family,” he wrote.

Similarly, President of Ta’awun Political Forum, Taiwo Lasisi, described the feat as another testament to Nigeria’s record of global excellence.
“Nigerians continue to tower above competitors in sports, academics, culture, and more. The Bilesanmi children’s feat in the UK National Read-Aloud Challenge is another shining example,” he said.

Other community leaders, including Omoba Awofeso Rasheed and Otunba Dehinde Shonibare, also joined in commending the children and wishing them greater success in their academic journey.

The UK National Read-Aloud Challenge is an annual competition designed to promote literacy, public speaking, and confidence among schoolchildren. Contestants read selected passages aloud, judged on clarity, expression, and comprehension, with prizes awarded across various age categories.
