Beneficiaries and community stakeholders have expressed deep appreciation to Hon. Abiodun Ogungbo, popularly known as Black Diamond, for his donation of ₦100,000 in support of vulnerable residents within Kosofe and beyond.
It would be recalled that KosofePost had earlier disbursed ₦100,000 to selected beneficiaries. Without being contacted, Hon. Ogungbo voluntarily contributed an additional ₦100,000 to support a second phase of the initiative.

The process saw nominations drawn from NGOs, Community Development Associations (CDAs), opinion leaders, individuals, and online media practitioners, each nominating one beneficiary. Among the nominations, a touching case was that of a young boy named Sodiq, son of a late taxi driver, who was recommended by a CDA representative.
According to the nominator, “Sodiq cannot speak, one of his hands and a leg are not functioning well, yet he can hear. He does not have a bank account. He is the one I prefer to be given the cash gift.”
The nomination, which was eventually considered, highlighted the plight of children with special needs, a group that in developed societies often benefit from lifelong government support.
In separate messages to KosofePost, beneficiaries across Kosofe Federal Constituency and beyond described the donation as a timely intervention that brought relief at a critical moment.
Social and political commentators also praised Hon. Ogungbo’s gesture. President of Ta’awun Political Forum, Lagos, Taiwo Lasisi, remarked: “Hon. Ogungbo’s gesture is a demonstration that any good work done for others attracts favour and blessings, both here and hereafter. God bless him and the KosofePost Publisher who initiated this noble deed.”
Similarly, Oloye Salami Oluwaseun said: “I am not surprised at this support for the vulnerable at this critical moment. Hon. Abiodun Ogungbo has dedicated his life to the upliftment of the downtrodden and less privileged in our society. He is a humanitarian per excellence.”
The donation has since been described as a beacon of hope, with many residents calling on other well-meaning Nigerians to emulate the selfless act.
