Former Mayor, Dele Oshinowo, has launched the Mayor Dele Oshinowo Foundation (MDOF), a non-profit platform aimed at advancing health, education, and social protection for vulnerable populations.

Speaking at the unveiling, Oshinowo described the initiative as a continuation of his years of service to the people, stressing that the foundation would focus on accessible support systems, advocacy, and community-driven solutions.

“For years, we have been lifting people—promoting health, creating access to education, and providing social protection,” he said. “True service to humanity does not end with office, it lives in the heart. MDOF is the continuation of a journey of impact, empowerment, and greatness.”

According to him, the foundation is designed to expand on previous empowerment programmes, health initiatives, and interventions that have supported residents across various communities.

He added that the vision of MDOF is to build “a society where everyone, regardless of background, has access to quality healthcare, education, and opportunities to thrive and contribute meaningfully.”

The foundation is expected to roll out targeted programmes in the coming months, focusing on strengthening resilience and easing socio-economic burdens within underserved communities.
