Calls for urgent intervention at the dilapidated Alonge Police Station in Oworonshoki, Kosofe Local Government, have continued to grow, with Engr. Olusola Emmanuel Adedayo, Publisher/CEO of MoschinoBlog and a Kosofe indigene in the diaspora, appealing to the council chairman, Hon. Moyosore Ogunlewe, to take swift action.
Engr. Adedayo made the appeal on Thursday, September 4, while reacting to a KosofePost report highlighting the deplorable state of the station.
Describing the facility as an “eyesore,” Adedayo said the condition of the police station undermines security efforts and called for both renovation and possible relocation to a more strategic site.
“This is an eyesore. The Council Chairman should renovate the police station. Moreover, I think the police station should be relocated to somewhere more accessible, like Olopomeji area or Olojojo bus stop,” he said.
Despite mounting appeals from residents and stakeholders, Hon. Ogunlewe, who serves as the Chief Security Officer of Kosofe Local Government, has yet to respond to concerns over the station’s deteriorating condition.
